@DmitryArefiev pls investigate
@Tat0Dev 1. Do you mean that double notes (using Muse Sounds) sound like vibrato/wah effect comparing with more straight MS Basic sound?

@DmitryArefiev 1. The issue is that vibrato/wah echo before the next note attacks, especially at faster tempos, gets more noticeable and extreme over time, i.e. a phrase won't sound too bad at first but towards the end now sounds completely different despite nothing changing in between.

@Tat0Dev 1. So it just doesn't sound rhythmically in the next measures? I don't see that in repeating phrases I just don't like how it rhythmically sounds initially. I think it's just a combination of notes with the same pitch at the top (at first) and then at the bottom

- How can I test previous versions of both Muse Sounds and MuseScore?
You can't test previous versions of Muse Sounds (Muse Sampler), you can test only previous versions of Muse Score.
The reason I'm asking is because you selected "Yes, this used to work in a previous version of MuseScore 4.x" in Regression field. So are you sure it worked well previously with the same type of score? (This is important for issue prioritization)
I’m not 100%. I selected that as I’ve been doing wind scoring of a similar nature since MS4 released and haven’t included the issue, but it’s also possible I haven’t encountered an edge case like this until now. I’ll test previous versions and update the thread accordingly.
More Context: After testing in 4.0.0, it's not a regression. Additionally, the effect is pronounced in higher tempos and repeated of the same note in legato articulations.
Good, thanks!
I've also found the problem occurs with interval notes on one staff and doesn't happen if the same notes separated into two staves

Issue type
General playback bug
Bug description
In a run of eighth note intervals on a single flute staff at any tempo, eventually a noticeable "echo" of each note will be heard before the next note, effectively doubling each note played. This does not occur with quarter notes at higher tempos, or sixteenths at slower tempos, just eighths at multiple tempos.
Steps to reproduce

The Video file has an audio export of the screenshot above, where the error in question can be heard a couple of bars before the 160bpm tempo change, and again by bar 3 of the new tempo. The lone voice eighth notes as well as the sixteenth note intervals serve as comparison bases for non-echoing notes and the effect of doubled eighths.
