Following Tied Notes Don't Move Along in Linked Staff When Pitch Changes #21465

Open moontan opened 7 months ago

Issue type

Engraving bug (incorrect score rendering)

Bug description

When changing the pitch of the first note in a series of tied notes, the whole series changes pitch, but not in a linked staff, where only the first note adopts the change.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a staff (5-string bass TAB in my example)
  2. Create a linked staff for the first one.
  3. Add notes and a few tied notes at the same pitch.
  4. change the pitch of the first note in the original staff (and watch the whole series change here, while only the first note changes pitch in the linked staff)

I just noticed something that is related and can probably be fixed at the same time (if deemed a bug): Changing the pitch on the first note in the series of tied notes apparently only affects the tied notes in the same measure, while one would expect the whole series to inherit the pitch change across bar lines.

I can't reproduce any of this following your description. If you can do so, please make a video of that, starting from scratch; and/or, better still, please supply a real score where you encounter it (like from your current video).
