Your idea

in the select options, there could be a box to choose all of the same element type on the same page

so it could say Select: "similar on this page"

Problem to be solved

allows faster selection of all bar numbers or something on a page if they all need to be adjusted or moved

allows a fast way to select text which could be outside the page borders and not easy to find

I do agree that it's not on the selection, but it's included in the settings. Probably not needed to add because it does it automatically
