If a staff spacer is added to a score in continuous view mode, it may be nice to have the adjustability for that permanently accessible by having the staff spacer in that permanent left-hand fixture on the score (i.e. in the same area as where the clef, key, and time signatures are located)
Problem to be solved
It'd be a lot more convenient than either having to either make multiple spacers for one instrument or to go back and forth to adjust the same one.
It sounds like what's being requested here is a way of changing the stave spacing that's specific for continuous view (and would thus be a feature specific to that view type).
