Impossible to select measure with mouse if glissando line runs right through it #23202

Issue type

UX/Interaction bug (incorrect behaviour)

Bug description

If I have a measure where a glissando line runs from one corner to the diagonally opposite corner, it's essentially impossible to select the whole measure with the mouse, and often very difficult to select elements inside it (though some items seem OK, sometimes)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a new score
  2. In one measure add a whole note to the lowest line of the staff
  3. In the next measure add a whole note to the middle line
  4. In the next measure add a note to the top line
  5. Add a gliss. line to the first note, and extend it to reach the last note (in the 3rd measure)
  6. Try to select the middle measure with the mouse

NB Using "send to back" doesn't work. And if you have, for instance, headless stems in your middle measure (a Gould-advised technique for indicating rhythmic durations mid-glissando), they're also impossible to select with the mouse. Noteheads or dynamics etc. generally are relatively straightforward to select, though not always.

Expectation: Gliss. lines should be the same as beams - only the area where they're actually drawn should be selectable, not the whole bounding box.
