Ability to select multiple channels in mixer

Your idea

I'd like the ability to select channels in the mixer, to make changes to multiple channels at once, as is possible in DAWs. Clicking anywhere within a channel should highlight the track (change colour to blue, or whatever). Then holding shift and pressing another channel should let you select a range of tracks, while holding ctrl (or cmd) should let you select a "custom selection".

Problem to be solved

This would be very handy when doing tasks like turning down the volume of selected tracks, like one section of an orchestra - or turning up or down the reverb level (or anything else that's on an aux channel).
