Convenient typing notes for muffled guitar strings #23563

My idea

I suggest providing user-friendly typing notes for muffled guitar strings, simplifying the currently existing option.

Problem to be solved

Currently, it takes several steps to introduce a note of a muffled string:

  1. Enter the notes
  2. Highlight the range of entered notes that should be muffled strings
  3. Click on the "Properties" tab
  4. Click on "Head"
  5. Click on "Cross" in the Notepad Type.

An alternative option is as follows:

  1. Enter the notes
  2. Highlight the range of entered notes that should be muffled strings
  3. Click on the "Palettes" tab
  4. Open the "Noteheads" palette
  5. Click on "Cross"

This is too much (in my opinion) fuss. Wouldn't it be better to simplify all this?

Additional context

It would be nice to be able to enter x-shaped guitar notes right away, rather than having to enter regular notes first, and only then select them and make them x-shaped.

In 4.4 you can do this by selecting the notes on the tab stave and pressing Shift+X. The noteheads on the standard stave will change to X automatically.
