[Export Braille] Missing numeric indicator before measure numbers #23765

Open wimjanse opened 1 month ago

wimjanse commented 1 month ago

Issue type

Engraving bug (incorrect score rendering)

Description with steps to reproduce

File-Export-Braille

Measure numbers in present exported / translated braille scores are indicated with letters a (first measure), b (second measure), etc. Missing is the numeric indicator before the a, b, c, etc. Blind persons read an a as the letter a, while when the a is pre-fixed with the numeric indicator (dots 3,4,5,6), they read numbers (instead of characters)

Attached file: drill 8-1.txt (is .brf file renamed to .txt), see measure 1 shown as a, etc.

This is not as straightforward as adding numeric indicators in front of all measure numbers. It depends on the instrumentation, ensemble and even different country formatting for the Braille. But what is generally common to most is that they should be present for single line solo instruments, but should NOT be present for piano bar over bar music.
