Instrumentation Sheet #24421

Your idea

I would appreciate an option to create an instrumentation sheet at the beginning of scores (should be a check box in the "Choose Instruments" dialog box, labeled "Create Instrumentation Sheet"

Problem to be solved

The instrumentation sheet would make it easier to create scores entirely in Musescore, instead of exporting the music to a text document so that an instrumentation sheet could be added.

Additional context

This feature would be of great value to orchestrators.

What would you expect this contain that you can't create already using a text or vertical frame?

Fourniture commented 2 months ago

The question is not what it would contain but rather of ease of use. Orchestrators and arrangers (myself included) don't want to have to manually write out a list of some 20 or 30 instruments; they would greatly appreciate having the program do it for them. Of course, the list would be fully editable, so that they could specify things such as "Flutes all dbl. piccolo". Incidentally, if Musescore is going to be THE notation app for Hal-Leonard, this would be a particularly reasonable feature.
