My idea

An intriguing idea is to offer users the opportunity to download and access all the scores available on MuseScore for a modest annual fee, perhaps in the range of $25 to $50. This model would provide users with a comprehensive and convenient library of sheet music, eliminating the need to purchase individual scores or rely on potentially incomplete online resources. Such a subscription-based approach could also generate a sustainable revenue stream for MuseScore, enabling them to further develop and improve their platform while offering additional benefits to their user community.

Problem to be solved

The primary goal is to enhance the accessibility of MuseScore Cloud. To achieve this, it is crucial to address the challenges associated with making the platform profitable. One potential solution involves leveraging the MuseScore community to activate Solidity contracts. By empowering users to participate in the development and maintenance of the platform, we can create a more sustainable and self-sufficient ecosystem. This approach could involve various mechanisms, such as incentivizing community contributions through rewards or recognition, or allowing users to directly fund specific features or improvements.

Prior art

The initial payment model employed by Epic Games for Unreal Engine 4 serves as a relevant precedent for our current endeavor. By examining the successes and challenges of this approach, we can gain valuable insights into potential strategies for monetizing our platform.
