UX/Interaction bug (incorrect behaviour)

Description with steps to reproduce

Create/open a score
Fill a measure with, say, 8 1/8 notes
Add an 8va line over the first two
Use the mouse to drag the grip handle on the hook to the right to extend it over the remaining notes
Expected: grip handle should follow the mouse pointer
Actual: grip handle jumps to the right as you drag near each new note, making it hard to adjust easily
