I would like to add that such an opportunity would be very useful for articulation, which really cannot be "disconnected". If articulations such as staccato, marcato, tenuto and accent can still be disconnected with a certain key combination, then articulations such as bow up/down, l.v., harmonic, muted cannot be disconnected. And here's an example for you:

Problem to be solved
Whenever I am typing a score and using articulations, when selecting a new articulation and then writing the note, it stays also for the further notes.
Also, I can't disable the articulation (before writing the new note) when I press again on it in the Palette. Hence in end, I up writing the next note, after which I press on the articulation + Delete.
