I confirm. I have the same. Player is Slimproto. Below is the log from PiCorePlayer. It shows that the problem is on MA side.

Firstly this is possibly the same as https://github.com/music-assistant/hass-music-assistant/issues/2009

Next you are guys are not following the instructions for attaching logs. We are a couple of people supporting a lot of people so we require issues submitted in a way that minimises repetitive work. We have a checkbox on the form saying you have read the troubleshooting page and looked for open issues. This doesn’t seem to have been done.

You are welcome to resubmit or add to the existing issue.

@OzGav please understand one thing. Everyone is very grateful for the work you put into the project. But don't get irritated if someone reports a problem that requires them to reach for their smartphone every few minutes to restart the radio. Especially since everything was fine before. This person also did something more than just reporting the problem. Because he tried to collect logs to make it easier to find the problem. Please have some empathy and not so much nerves. Sorry for the bad English.

I am sorry but my issue is not the same as #2009, maybe the issue from melwinek is, but not my issue.

OzGav commented 7 months ago

Please review what we require in the report which is detailed in the troubleshooting page and the issue template and resubmit. Thanks.

We have a global issue with radio streams stopping all of a sudden. We are investigating it - let's use this as meta issue.

Everyone: next time do not paste large amounts - it makes the story unreadable for us. Better just download the logfile and attach it (you can simply drag and drop)

Hello Marcel,

Thank you for reopening this issue. What do yo need from me for troubleshooting this issue?

marcelveldt commented 7 months ago

Nothing - I now have multiple reports of people saying that radio streams stop suddenly (or any long music stream) and that it happens on all player types. I just reproduced that on my end and i'm looking into this. Lets just use this issue report to track progress and prevent multiple people creating duplicate reports.

freedomanonyme commented 7 months ago

I can say I have the same issue rather with the dev or beta. Updated to 2.0.0b117 and no improvement. Also from tune-in or radio browser. I tried with Chromecast audio and HomePod. No difference.

OzGav commented 7 months ago

Please try again with b118

gieljnssns commented 7 months ago

I think this one is solved, my stream is playing for 60min now.

AvA1970 commented 7 months ago

I can confirm that the problem is fixed. Stream is playing for 3 to 4 hours now with not stopping after 30 min.

Tnx guys for solving this!

freedomanonyme commented 7 months ago

Thanks!!! 1h30 without interruption!

AvA1970 commented 7 months ago

Looks like the isssue is back in the last update 2.0.0.b119

OzGav commented 7 months ago

You need to supply more info as to what the problem is now.

freedomanonyme commented 7 months ago

Same for me. I updated the BETA to 2.0.0b119 this morning. The playback of the radios stops after 30 min. The case should be reopened.

marcelveldt commented 7 months ago

Next release (b120) contains several fixes for playing radio streams which should fix this and some other issues but please report back after testing b120. We'll leave this one open until we got some confirmation that the fixes work.

freedomanonyme commented 7 months ago

I have a playback since 1h25min. Fine Thanks!

melwinek commented 7 months ago

I am impressed with your work. The radio has been playing for about 24 hours without turning off.
