Hi,

I am newbie in OLAP world! What is different between Kylin and Mondrian ?. Why do you need to mix between them ?

Hi pribadihcr,

it is not complicated:

Mondrian: Enables multidimensional queries against data, using the powerful MDX query language, translates MDX queries to SQL.
Kylin: Provides multi-dimensional analysis (OLAP) on Hadoop with SQL interface (no MDX queries).

Result when you combine Kylin and Mondrian: MDX on Hadoop
