Dualsub 的标准模式的机器翻译是收费功能，既然对用户收费了，就得保证收费功能的可用性。

然而有些网站实在难以维护：

• 需要付费账号，没有免费视频。
• 需要使用代理服务器绕过地区限制。
• 使用了太过复杂的技术。

这些网站如下：

• https://www.9now.com.au/
• https://www.bbc.co.uk/
• https://www.coupangplay.com/
• https://www.hulu.com/
• https://www.primevideo.com/
• https://www.raiplay.it/

现在 Dualsub 在这些网站上应该还能正常使用，但是已经无法对这些网站做测试了。

因为无法做测试，所以每次改动代码都得小心翼翼避免破坏这些网站的兼容性，这样就无法大刀阔斧地改动代码，阻碍版本速迭代。这些网站设限多，维护性价比低，所以是时候甩掉这些包袱了。

废弃计划

在版本 2.37.0 (于 2024-05-17 发布) 之后：

• 这些网站将不能使用机器翻译功能，机器翻译字幕菜单总会显示为 关闭 (0) 。
• 现有 API key 的用户，可以继续正常使用一段时间。

后续版本将陆续删除支持这些网站，建议有需要的用户可以安装 Firefox 浏览器，方便使用旧版本的 Dualsub。

从现在起，如果你打算专门在这些网站上使用而购买 API key，请不要购买，这些网站不会再有技术支持。

对于 Netflix 和 Disney+

考虑到这两个网站是很国际化的，本身就提供多语言字幕，并不需要机器翻译，所以保持支持是有意义的。

所以这两个网站作为免费功能提供，但是出问题不一定会及时修复，也不会保证每个版本的兼容性。

Dualsub's standard mode machine translation is a paid feature. Since users are paying for it, the availability of this feature must be guaranteed.

However, some websites are difficult to maintain:

• Require a paid account and do not provide free videos.
• Require the use of a proxy server to bypass regional restrictions.
• Use overly complex technology.

Currently, Dualsub should still work normally on these websites, but testing on these sites is no longer possible.

Since testing is not possible, each code change must be made carefully to avoid breaking compatibility with these websites. This prevents making significant changes to the code and hinders rapid version iteration. These websites have many restrictions and low maintenance cost-effectiveness, so it’s time to shed these burdens.

Deprecation Plan

After version 2.37.0 (released on 2024-05-17):

• These websites will no longer be able to use machine translation, and the machine translation subtitles menu will always show as Close (0).
• Users with existing API keys can continue to use them normally for a period of time.

Support for these websites will be gradually removed in subsequent versions. It is recommended that users in need install the Firefox browser to facilitate the use of older versions of Dualsub.

From now on, if you plan to purchase an API key specifically for use on these websites, please do not purchase it, as these sites will no longer receive technical support.

For Netflix and Disney+

Considering that these two websites are very international and provide multi-language subtitles natively, machine translation is not necessary, so maintaining support is sensible.

Therefore, these two websites will be offered as free features, but issues may not be fixed promptly, and compatibility is not guaranteed for every version.
