Kodi v18 Leia compatability? #11

I know I keep asking even though you say your not deleoping this any more but your the only game in town so here I am again!

Any chance you could update to get this working in v18? The plug in itself still works I. That it discovers the bridge and you can control the lights when you use the run command but when a video starts playing, the lights don’t react.

Assuming v18 has changed the way it reports the play state?

Anything you can do would be SO appreciated.

I had a quick look at the changelog for v18, but nothing really stands out that indicates that the playback reporting behaviour changed.

I don't have a dev system for Kodi anymore, so I will see if I can have a look at fixing the addon when Leia is officially out for OpenELEC (which is probably pretty fast after the official Kodi release).

Feel free to remind me by replying to this thread after the release of Leia.

Will do mvdwetering.

I actually think the issue might be with the detection of the short videos? Molednik's plugin (https://github.com/mpolednik/script.kodi.hue.ambilight) has the same issue that if you enable the short video length feature it stops working. If you don't enable it it works fine.

Unfortunately this is an important feature.

Thanks as always for maintaining this even though you have moved on to other things!
