Unfortunately I don't have access to D7000, so not sure how I can address this issue. Which browser do you use? Can you check browser's console for errors?
Default I use Safari on my Mac and iPhone. Tried Chrome and FireFox to, but still the problem is there. Isn't there a CLI command I could use to try it without the GPhoto2server, so I could test that gphoto2 is working fully with my Nikon D7000?
If you see live view than it's working.
Since you have the problem in every browser, can you check the browser console for errors when you try to switch off live view?
Oh yeah, checked and everything is good. No errors or warnings in de dev consoles in the 3 different browsers. In terminal no problems to.
Ok, I'll ask around for Nikon camera and will check that issue once I get my hands on one.
Meanwhile, try to use viewfinder option to disable live view (Nikon Viewfinder - /main/actions/viewfinder ).
I have not used Live view, but the server uses the GPhoto2 CLI - try opening the terminal and use the gphoto2 commands.

Actually the GPhoto2Server doesn't use gphoto2 CLI anymore since version 1.0 - I'm using JNA access to libgphoto2 since it's way faster than executing gphoto2 CLI command, and the live view feature was the whole reason for switching to the faster way. FYI.

I'm trying to setup everything but when I enable Live View on my Nikon D7000 trough the GPhoto2server I cannot turn it off again with unticking the option.
