App unexpectantly quitting (possible crash?) #184

Big fan of the app. I have been using it in on a Lenovo Tab M8 Tablet running Android 10 as a digital picture frame for the last couple years without issue.

I am running PhotoCloud Slideshow: v1.14.1

I use the Windows Shamba Share (New) pointed at a single folder for my slideshow.

In the last couple weeks, I have noticed that the slideshow/app is closing often, I am not sure if its crashing or what's causing the app to quit.

Is there any way to diagnose why the app is closing/crashing?

I am more than happy to assist in providing any logs/details needed for troubleshooting this situation.

Thank you, and I'm sorry for the situation. The best way would be to obtain the device logs from your tablet, using the standard Android machinery. The logs should then contain insight to why PhotoCloud closed - I agree it's most probably going to be a crash.

There's "Reporting crashes" at https://www.android-photo-frame.eu/faq.html but it hasn't been updated a long time ago. Please try out the tutorial, but if it fails, just google for "Getting logs from Android phone". You may need to download Android Studio and Android SDK to get the logs.

Once you have the logs and the crash, please attach it here.

same - similar issue here. Awesome app, Galaxy Tab s6. Android 12, Windows Samba. Screenshot of error attached slideshow error
