Fix #204 Updated error messages on property validations #206

Fixes unclear error messages that get up to the UI. Test coming shortly after I better understand how tests work in your project.

Thanks for this @jimholmes. Given the setup I think you'll have to either test it on the API layer or on the controller level (Never had much luck with that though sadly)
