Import List, an extension written for the financial management program Moneydance, connects to google-analytics.com.

This is a breach in personal data security for users of Moneydance.

No where in the description of this extension does state that it is written such that it makes use of google-analytics.com. Thus giving users a false sense of security.

Either the description of this extension needs to clarify that it makes use of google-analytics.com, or this extension needs to be re-written so as not to make use of google-analytics.com.

The Import List extension connects to Google Analytics in order to track statistical data on the usage of the extension. These data include screen resolution, screen colors, language, and geographical location.

In addition, the version of the Import List extension and the version of Moneydance are tracked. The latter are the only Moneydance-related data. No financial information is submitted.

Following your suggestion, I will extend the website and explain the tracking of statistical data with Google Analytics in the next release.
