In other words, the pork that the piglins "steal" from you gets used as barter input, as if the pork was transmuted approximately 8:1 (or another ratio) into gold ingots.
Currently, the mod does not mention hoglins in any way, which potentially makes hoglins another easy source of food.
To fix this, what if hurting or killing a Hoglin angered nearby Piglins? With your kill of a Hoglin, the Piglins think that you just stolen their food source from them, and will fight back to get your pork.
