• NOTE. The homework 10 requirements specified to put our process in an Rmd file, therefore, this README does not contain the process summary, and instead, it can be found here

Please note that I am using a key-protected API and therefore, I found a way to work around the fact that you don't have an OMIM API key to show you some results in the data sample, but if you have any questions or require clarifications, please don't hesitate to let me know !

Hi @mylinhthibodeau !

• Great assignment. Your folder and README file are clear with lots of links and information to access specific files.
• You got data from the internet using an API, and explained all your reasoning and workflow nicely
• You demonstrated a great use of functions to obtain information from the API, your code is well commented and easy to understand.
• In the md file, most of the links associated with "data sample" didn't work, but I was still able to explore the folder "data_sample" directly, and the inclusion of tables in kable() format was good to understand the output of these functions.
• I didn't follow some of the information you were trying to extract from the internet, but you did a good job at explaining each step, and it is clear that this is useful for your own work.
• Great use of a variety of packages to solve specific problems, and also good report and referencing of sources...!!!

Comments:

• Explored relevant tools not covered in class
• Good security practices, and put in effort to still make the data accessible to readers.
• It would have been nice to also explain whether/how the reader could get their own OMIM API key.
• It would have been nice to have a few sentences explanation of the data you brought in from assignment 8 – while it's fine to build on assignments like that, reviewers should be able to understand each assignment independently.
• Note: with a 3h process like the one in your assignment some of the stuff we've gone over with writing/reading files and Makefiles starts to look really handy!
