Simple Last.fm won't recognize default player on Sony Ericsson X10 Mini #63

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Simple Last.fm from android market.
2. Go to "Enabled apps" in the options menu,
3. See the "No music apps detected" message.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to be able to scrobble music from the default player in X10 Mini.
Instead, the default player is not recognized by Simple Last.fm

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system and
what device?
Not sure how to see which version of Simple Last.fm it is, but it's the current
(presumably stable release) one in Android market. Sony Ericsson X10 Mini
currently uses a modified version of Android 1.6.

Please provide any additional information below.
According to plan, Sony Ericsson will offer an upgrade to Android 2.1 within
the next few months. Perhaps a solver?

Actually it doesn't seem to recognize any other of the listed supported players
either.

Hi, have you read the FAQ?:
http://code.google.com/p/a-simple-lastfm-scrobbler/wiki/FAQ

For any player to show up in the enabled apps list you first need to enter your
last.fm credentials into SLS and then start playing music in the player.

The default sony ericsson player will probably not work though,

Yes, I read the FAQ and it doesn't work even after following it. Seem to be the
same as with X10 though. Hope it will be solved soon.

Ah, yes, sorry, the default player doesn't work. Have you tried any of the
other supported apps, such as Zimly, MixZing or ^3 (cubed)?

Yes it works great with Zimly. Haven't tried the other ones, but it seems clear
it's the same problem as with the X10.
