New username/password authentication failing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Clear credentials
2. Input new Username & Password
3. Error message, Wrong username/password

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system and
what device?
Samsung Galaxy, 2.1 Stock rom.

Please provide any additional information below.
Changed my password on lastfm, and when I updated scrobbler it wont 
authenticate.  I've re-logged into lastfm android client, so my password change 
has been verified.

I've also uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would help, it didnt.

I just tried it, and could be as simple as a trailing space after the username? 
That was the case for me, but when I removed it it worked fine.

I had the same issue when I recently changed my last.fm password. You must 
clear the user credentials but in the main options page, not the last.fm one.
