I also ran into a similar problem recently, waiting for the response from the authors...

Did you manage to solve it? it happens to me aswell, I noticed it overloads my gpus and then throw this error. Im going to try decreasing batch_size and play with fp16.

Decreasing batch size doesnt work, Trying with 4x v100 16gb , upon starting the train script it uses 100% of all 64gb memory, completes a few segments and throws that error.
