AskTheEU has had two requests pinned to the homepage for some time (looks like from ~ Jan 2016).

In Q4 2016, 50-60% of the visits were made when the homepage was the site entry point.

We didn't add any specific UTM parameters to the URLs, so this seems like the next best way to assess what's going on here.
