Q: Will prompting existing users via email remind them to use the site again?

Number of requests initiated through mail link

[What do we need to do to be able to take the measurements?]

[ ] Confirm with IPV that they want to mail users
[ ] Write copy for mail
[ ] Design pretty mail
[ ] Import non-banned user email list to mail service (e.g. Mailchimp)
[ ] Deliver mail
[ ] Use stats from mail service to check open/click-through rate
[ ] See whether requests were initiated from mail link

Needs clearer specification of who we email and why

I think it would be nice to do this experiment once the update and redesign has been done - it's a way to alert people on mailing list of site's 'new look'

Interesting email I got the other day. No real content other than "hey remember us". Weirdly, before I realised it I was thinking "oh that's nice of them".

I'm sure there are plenty of examples of this kind of thing around – definitely seems worth a go somewhere though.

I definitely think so. I will try and remember to post examples of the reminder emails I've reacted positively to on to here :)
