We have https://github.com/mysociety/alaveteli/wiki/List-of-foi-websites-and-projects but it's a bit rough and ready.
@wrightmartin asks: "How much detail do we want? Do we want more information on some, rather than others?"
@wrightmartin Ukraine - for the speed it was taken up in a difficult situation, Uruguay - because they managed to get a law changed and Spain - because they worked without an FOI law for a year
Perhaps if we have specific stories to tell, now is a good time to tap @MyfanwyNixon and ask if she might have some time coming up to give the copy for the front page and showcase a bit of a look?
Also Hungary because it has the most volume?
Happy to - actually I have a bit of content for Ukraine, which stalled a bit, but I can probably polish it up.
Here's a wireframe for this page. Each deployment has room for title, URL and description and screenshot, the most important 4 have a description too. The screenshot is the same for each one. Clicking the title, link or image would take you directly to the site, there are no deeper pages.
I like it. Looks like you mean that each on has room for a title, url and country, and the others for a description? Also is the idea that we can have more rows of installs at the bottom as our world domination increases?
@crowbot - yeah, we can add more quite easily. I've got another tweaked version on the way.
yes, country, not description twice. :P
Slight improvement, I felt like the last one needed a 'what now' bit at the end
This looks good to me. I don't really have any other comments :)
+1, looking really good.
What are your thoughts on the case where we have 11 installs? Would the single install in a row on its own look strange or break the flow? I'm guessing it will probably be okay, but worth considering.
@garethrees Good point, that's always a concern. We could just tweak the css to make the last row 4 or 5 columns to push a few more onto that row, if it looks weird.
Rolled out.
Would be nice to have (on alaveteli.org or somewhere) a showcase of projects using Alaveteli - screenshots, a bit of info.
