Today a WhatDoTheyKnow user has reported their own request for admin attention because a response is overdue. They used the report for admin attention rather than classifying their thread as still awaiting a response and being directed to /help/unhappy. I think this is a reasonably common thing which happens, but I've not tried to count occurrences.
The classification form does say "Submit Status (and we'll suggest what to do next)" but perhaps it needs to be made even clearer that selecting "I'm still waiting for my information" will lead to help and advice.
Currently the only route for users to report a request for admin attention via the request classification form is by selecting the option:
which then results in the display of a "Please tell us more" form.
Users often want to get in touch with the admin team about their own requests, so a further "I need assistance" classification, which would prompt a "tell us more" form, perhaps with pre-set reasons as with the general "report a request" form might be helpful. requires_admin is an internal classification, but it's not one presented on the classification form to users.
Users could be directed to a version of the "report a request" form tailored specifically for users reporting their own requests, there's a ticket for that at: #5377
