Might be same issue as https://github.com/mysociety/alaveteli/issues/3130.
The translations exist for both fr_BE
and nl_BE
.
I think the issue is that it's translated as Cher/Chère [Authority name],
and then edited when composing the request to use the correct salutation (as you can see in the screenshot) but that means Alaveteli can't replace with the correct substitution due to not finding the original text https://github.com/mysociety/alaveteli/blob/166e982d5bb7012de076764ac7068bf100d60d83/app/models/outgoing_message.rb#L68-L74
Does gettext / transifex have any capability for handling this? Grammatical gender is a pretty common Thing, as in Greece.
Seems to be happening in Batch requests currently only reported on Transparencia in Belgium's site.
Message from Claude states: i have sent a 47-batch request on transparencia.be on https://transparencia.be/request/projets_de_deliberation_des_poin_13
Unfortunately, the appropriate various [Autorty name] was not added properly on my 47 request that all display a unfitted "Chère Autority name" Is this a bug ? Is ther a way to Add the Authority name automatically from the batch authority list ?
