Is there any desire to get travis working with this repo?

That would be awesome, yes! Its not a massive priority for us (https://github.com/mysociety/alaveteli/issues/1853) but we have made a bit of an attempt at it (https://github.com/mysociety/derechoapreguntar-theme/pull/22).
