Thanks! I've just noticed these figures in Transparency which could also have the + on the other side, ie
+1M change to 1M+ +16M change to 16M+ +80% change to 80%+
@MyfanwyNixon I just deployed the latest changes. Here are probably the main there most obvious changes:
I thought It was a bit hard to read and it made sense to turn them into a list.
Let me know what you think of this section.
I swapped the blue buttons for dark ones, they felt a bit out of place against the green background.
Let me know if you want me to revert any of these changes.
Looks good thanks! I think after Talk the Toot I'll invite everyone to have a quick once-over.
If you'd like to get Mark and Louise's text equal lengths, could try this for mark:
After seven years as mySociety’s Chief Exec, Mark Cridge can now be found greening London with the National Park City Foundation. Thanks for everything, Mark!
Thanks @MyfanwyNixon that's much better.
Also one comment from above what about the "What keeps us going" would you like me to make it a separate section?
@lucascumsille ah yes thanks for the reminder. I think that could work well!
Assume we're waiting on the blog post to be published to screenshot for this image?
Graeme points out that Helen is now a member of staff - should she be in the 'warm welcome' part and if so should she be removed from the volunteers? Darn it, would have been easier if she'd made a 1 Jan start!
should she be in the 'warm welcome' part
Yes!
and if so should she be removed from the volunteers
hmm, she has volunteered for the bulk of the year so I think worth recognising that
@garethrees yes, just need to make sure it's not confusing for the reader...
LIH 'Try out the prototype' and screenshot links go to the wrong place
'as well consultations on how the ICO should be structured' should be 'as well as...'
OK, Helen has generously said that we should keep her as a volunteer for the sake of simplicity. Let's give her an official welcome in next year's one.
'we believe that society is better that when people are more informed and involved.' - extra 'that' here
'You can support our work with one-off or monthly donation' - 'a' before 'one-off'?
Yes to all these @rachelshirley - thanks!
Thanks @davea ! Link for the screenshot and 'try out the prototype' should be https://pages.mysociety.org/local-intelligence-hub/
focussed and sustainable
@lucascumsille can we change 'focussed' to 'focused'? Thanks!

Hi @garethrees yes let me know whenever is ready and I'll update it.
OK, Helen has generously said that we should keep her as a volunteer for the sake of simplicity. Let's give her an official welcome in next year's one.
@MyfanwyNixon lol I read this too late, I have already included Helen, but let me know if you want me take her off.
@MyfanwyNixon I just deployed the changes from the feedback above:
I used purple instead of the usual red, because no matter if we use white or black text, the contrast is quite straining for the eyes.
I have added some styling to make these section pop up more. I didn't want to use a vertical list, because that would give a hierarchy impression, that's why I went horizontal instead.
Regarding the '…and not to forget:' in the content navbar I named it "What's new" because without context not sure if the reader would understand just by looking at both navbar what the "…and not to forget:" section would contain.
Let me know if you want me to give it a different name.
Forgot to include Here is Helem addition:
@lucascumsille I feel like, if we’re going to have Helen in the "Warm welcomes", we could bump that up to a four column grid, so that Yolanda isn’t stuck on a row of her own at the bottom…
To do that, I’ve set all of the team member grid items (including the final one) to col-sm-6 col-md-3
, and put a justify-content-center
on the row
. You might also want to add text-center
to the grid items so that the text remains centred even on narrow screens (currently it goes left-aligned, despite the images above being centred).
@lucascumsille on small -sm
screens, these card items get a bit ridiculous ;-)
But since we’re using the card-deck
component for those, it’s not quite as easy as just making them col-sm-6
. Any thoughts?
This may already be on your radar @lucascumsille, apologies if it is, but there doesn't seem to be a preview image for the review yet.
Doesn't have to be updated, but Matthew ran the numbers for the FMS reports again this morning, so if you wanted to update this section, the number is now 633,000k+
Thanks for the reminder @sallybracegirdle let me know which one you prefer: @MyfanwyNixon I made these four options:
@MyfanwyNixon in the meantime I have published the latest changes, with the image credits and long dashes + updated copy SW.
@MyfanwyNixon I made these four options:
My vote goes for 2, the blurry rainbow blobs. With better vertical alignment, I think it’d do the job nicely :+1:
@dracos Regarding the Google Tag Shouldn't getting rid of this part should do the trick? `
`Yep, but then we have no analytics. If we want the same as FixMyStreet, then we could put an analytics (not GTM) snippet in with storage set to none, as we know that does not set any cookies. GTM even with those denied entries you quote and with client_storage none still appears to set cookies, which is... unoptimal? (@ajparsons looked at this for data.climateemergency.uk I think where I see cookies.) Regardless, if GA is to be used on the annual report, the annual report will need a link presumably to https://www.mysociety.org/privacy/
@dracos should I set it up like we did in CAPE and add a link in the footer for the privacy then?
@zarino Just in case in the meantime I have removed the Google tag. So we are not tracking anything.
Opening this ticket to list any changes that need to be made/typos fixed etc.
