Consider an FOI batch request, using WDTK Projects, to collect information from councils who don’t respond to our invitations to update us (see #655 and #657).
We’ll need to think about the wording of the message. Ideally we’d like to know:
Whether we’re missing any climate action plans, or climate action update documents (like annual progress reports)
Whether the council has declared a climate emergency and we just don’t know about it – if so, we’ll want a link to evidence
Whether the council has a net zero target date (for council operations only, or their whole area) – and if so, we’ll want a link to evidence
I wonder whether we should include what we already know about the council, in each email? (So they can just say "yes that’s all correct" if no updates are required?)
