splashscreen glitch #115

Device: Samsung Galaxy S4 (model GT-I9505) running Android 4.2.2.

When the app first loads, a stretched version of the FixMyStreet splashscreen appears for about half a second: 2013-08-22 14 53 08

Then there is a flicker and this (correct?) splashcreen appears: 2013-08-22 14 53 34

Splash screen removed in 910f1163ccecbbfee1697f34444f1378e382ffe0

Device: Samsung Galaxy S4 (model GT-I9505) running Android 4.2.2. Software version: FixMyStreet Version 2.0 (29), September 18, 2013.

The splash screen is no longer stretched, but there is a full-screen black flicker between the splash screen and the splash screen with the "Finding your location" UI elements.
