User suggestion: food and farming votes section #1304

I would like to suggest that a new topic is included within the search functions e.g. voting record, topics of interest – that of food and farming. Whilst it is an issue that sits predominantly in Defra, it is covered by DoHealth, and from time to time Treasury, Education (school food procurement, and cooking on the curriculum), and BIS (review of the Grocery Code Adjudicator), and very likely the Department for International Trade in future. With the largest single item of spend from current EU payments going on farm subsidies, alongside a huge tranche of EU legislation that needs repatriating relating to food and farming, it is likely that this will be a frequent issue of Parliamentary debate, with Brexit already dominating Parliamentary affairs.

We can only show MPs' voting records on matters which have actually been put to the vote.

If votes do take place on food and farming matters then we'll cover them.

I've searched the votes using relevant search terms at: http://www.publicwhip.org.uk/search.php and this doesn't appear to be an area where there have been votes but we're not giving them due prominence.

We already show stances on the "hunting ban" and culling badgers; they could be moved to a new topic covering rural matters, food and farming if we start tracking a few more stances which could come under such a heading.
