Unclear howto handle table captions in Myst Markdown

According to https://mystmd.org/guide/tables does Myst Markdown support tables, however, it seems to lack the following features:

no captions for standard markdown tables (only supported for list-tables)
option to determine the position of the caption, i.e. if it is located above or below the table
