AdMob ads are never displayed even when they are loaded

While integrating AdWhirl with an Android app, the AdWhirl Layout will never 
display any ads, even if it says it got an ad by AdMob.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Just setting everything up (no errors at all on LogCat), then displaying the 
ad, I only get a black space on top of my GLSurfaceView while using an 
AbsoluteLayout to keep both the AdWhirlLayout and GLSurfaceView).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected AdMob ads to appear, I get impressions on the AdMob app site, but 
nothing shows up.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
AdWhirl Android SDK 3.0.0

I've had similar issues with ads sometimes just showing nothing instead where 
it was supposed to show an ad. AdWhirl just seems very poorly written and I 
think needs an overhaul, as well as defects actually getting resolved in a 
timely manner! This is just one of several major issues I have with AdWhirl 
presently, and you'd think they would make it at least as good as the iOS 
version, but no, the Android AdWhirl SDK lags way behind.
