gperftools could not be compiled with mingw due to multiple errors

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. gperftools could not be compiled with mingw due to multiple errors.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected to build successfully with:
./configure --prefix=/home/gperftools-build --disable-shared CXXFLAGS=-g

Instead, after multiple errors the following statement - make: Target `all' not 
remade because of errors.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
$ gcc --version
gcc.exe (GCC) 4.8.1
mingw/msys on Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.

Hint from Issue 633 was used to resolve the issue.
Compiles fine if “MemoryBarrier” is changed to “MemoryBarier2” in 
atomicops-internals-x86.h and malloc_hook.cc
