can't send back to DT #4

@deepmoses

At first all good, connected to the digitakt and I was able to save a back up of the project and then start rearranging samples, but when I went to send the project back to the DT it didn’t work, there was a progress bar showing on chrome but nothing was sent back to the DT. Did a power cycle tried again but same result.

It seems to also disconnect and not be able to see the DT after a few minutes of being idle, disconnecting the USB doesn’t work, I have to power cycle it back up for it to connect to the app again.

When moving samples around I noticed that every so often the drag and drop motion wasn’t working, it would pick and drag but wouldn’t drop them in the new location.

I set the DT to USB Midi and that seemed to work. I rearranged a bunch of samples and then sent the project back to the DT but sorry to say all the patterns were playing the wrong samples… so I reloaded the project and things were back to normal. Also, I noticed that one sample slot showed “???”, on the DT that slot was empty.

@mzero I'm also not having any luck sending projects to the Digitakt. In Chrome it shows the project being sent, but nothing happens on the Digitakt. Everything else appears to work correctly.

Some hopefully helpful info:

I'm more than happy to help debug if you have other suggestions or info you'd like me to gather. :)

I have also some troubles. I manage to be able to send back projects to the Digitakt by deflecting the Overbridge mode and using the midi mode. The project are sent back to the Digitakt but the samples associated seems not to be sent correctly back.

Hi!

@divino22 : I have the exact same problem as you are describing here:

I have also some troubles. I manage to be able to send back projects to the Digitakt by deflecting the Overbridge mode and using the midi mode. The project are sent back to the Digitakt but the samples associated seems not to be sent correctly back.

At first i couldn't send projects back to my Digitakt. But i fixed that by changing the Digitakt to midi mode. And now I can send projects back to my Digitakt but the sounds/samples are messed up when i check them. So unfortunately, I don't have a solution right now. Anyone has any ideas?

Right now i am kinda stuck. I want to change all my sounds and samples but I don't want to lose all of my projects. I am a starting producer and I need to have a flexible workflow in which I can change the samples as much as I want. And now I can't do that: if I delete the samples on my machine, the projects also miss that sounds and I can't play them anymore.

So... kinda stuck! Hope anyone can help!

"Send Project" did not work. I changed USB to "Midi" (before was in "Overbridge" mode) as suggested here and "Send Project" seemed to work. my Digitakt completely crashed and showed cryptical "Exception Error" screen with all kinds of characters on it.

I only could restart the Digitakt after unplugging it from power. Before that it wasn't even starting anymore. It now works again, but the project that was supposed to be overwritten or send to, didn't change. So "Send Project" wasn't successful.

Summary:

Now I am scared to brick my device or lose everything on it... which is the reason I wanted to back stuff up in the first place.

EDIT Digitakt was on 1.20b, probably that is part of the issue

Was there any solution to this? No matter what I do, I cannot get the DT to receive. I've tried from Windows and linux but can't get it to work on either. I'm using the latest 1.30b firmware.

I'm still experiencing this in the latest 3.1 beta version for the 1.40.
