Sound Pool lost #8

Closed mzero closed 4 years ago

The sound pool can be lost...

  1. Load up a project. Add some sounds to the sound pool. Create a pattern with a track that has some sound plocks. (Don't load the sound into the track, instead plock a trig to a sound in the sound pool.)
  2. SysEx dump this project and save it on your computer.
  3. Load up a project without any sound pool entries. The "PRESETS" project will do fine.
  4. Now send the SysEx dump you saved before. You should be able to play the pattern with the sound pool plock, and hear the sound - as the sound pool should have been restored with the dump. You can verify that the sound pool is populated.
  5. Turn off the Digitakt.
  6. Turn on the Digitakt.
  7. The pattern is there, but the sound pool is empty.

Work around: After step 4 above:

4a. Save the project on the Digitakt. 4b. Immediately load the project you just saved.

This is a bug with the Digitakt. It saves the sound pool if you explicitly save the project before powering off in this case.
