Is it possible for a user to generate a newsletter, or only the administrator? #12

I just installed this app, and based on the description, it is exactly what I am looking for.

However, after installation, it appears that only the administrator can create newsletters. From a normal user account, clicking on the calendar news icon only shows links for "preview newsletter" and "next newsletter".

Would it be possible to allow users (or certain users) to create a newsletter using their own calendar, instead of the just using the administrator account and the admin calendars?

Right now, a single newsletter can only be configured by admin users. Things become more weird with multiple admin users with differing sets of shared calendars ... but it also has its benefits.

I agree it would be nice to change this, but it would be quite some work.

I came looking for a way to send myself an daily agenda based on one of my calendars. This app seems to have some of the pieces needed. Regarding your comment about multiple admin users; I think that's not the way to think about it. Instead, I would think of it as each user creating one or more newsletters, and they can choose which of the calendars they have access to will be included. They should then be able to say which users the calendar will be emailed to. No need to be the nextcloud admin. In fact, in an organisation, I can imagine that the nextcloud admin probably works in IT, and the people who may want to configure the newsletter(s) are in different roles.
