8 years ago @GpAccardo Thanks! I have the greatest admiration for what VoxEurope does. My point is that the skills required to investigate a topic at the European level and those needed to communicate it to national audiences are not the same. The most efficient way forward is not to do both, but to do one well (in our case, investigate at the EU level) and be in close contact with the other.

Je partage ton avis sur l'investigation et sa diffusion. Nous serions heureux d'assurer la segonde avec vous dans la mesure de nos moyens, l'objectif étant de devenir une plateforme de publication, partage et discussion sur les sujets européens qui comptent.
Si tu passes par Paris ou Bruxelles, je serai heureux d'en discuter autour d'un café.

Hi Nicolas,
I found very interesting your post on European journalism, especially the Commission's "built-in inability to communicate that prevent them from having any discursive impact". Of course, as VoxEurop's editor, I may not agree on everything you say. We aim at bringing European readers to engage on topics that matter and believe the best way is to talk to them in their own language. Of course translating takes time and resources, but we can rely on a fairly wide network of contributors who are happy to help. Is it a model ? With Global Voices it works. Anyway, let's rather talk about what we may agree on: the existence of a strong need for an European approach to news and phenomenons that go beyond national. We want to build up a European platform for content producing, publishing, sharing and translating and are looking for partners to do it with. Would be happy to talk about it – and anything that has to do with journalism – anytime. Best, Gp
