Open Wajinn opened 1 year ago
Hey, @Wajinn
Thank you for taking the time to read my article. First of all, I will ask you not to insult my article, because I did not insult your work or you specifically.
Furthermore, V was not released and open to the public for more than 5 years
Although the article did not use such wording, I replaced “After 5 years” with “After almost 5 years” to better correspond to reality.
Along with that, pretending not to see what the site or documentation states as WIP
Please allow me to disagree, for example, about autofree I made a remark at the end where I, by the way, mentioned people like you:
It is already clear that the author of the language and his loyal followers will begin to say that
autofree
is not yet production ready, but the problems that I described above even for the very first alpha version are unacceptable.
I am well aware of the degree of readiness; moreover, this is perfectly described in the article.
Why be so obsessed and preoccupied with a language that you don't want to use or don't like?
Because your (community) leader, the author of the language, banned me for the opinion (this is described in the article) and also insulted me by calling me a troll. If you think this is worthy behavior, then I'm afraid you won't understand me.
The world could use a little more peace and love versus language wars and hate.
I will listen to your advice as soon as it is heard by Alex who has decided that he can do whatever he wants.
I will be glad to hear specific criticism where I am wrong in describing V problems or Alex’s actions.
Mr. Skvortsov,
With all due respect sir, please don't engage in this type of garbage. Maybe you are an evangelist taking things too far or were paid to target competing languages, but this kind of article just looks really bad. Particularly when we are talking about open-source projects, worked on by many contributors from everywhere.
Furthermore, V was not released and open to the public for more than 5 years, and you can go check its releases. As with the rest of the article, this comes across as throwing and smearing crap on the wall. Hey, you are also reviewing a language in beta, but that isn't mentioned either, so looks deceptive. Along with that, pretending not to see what the site or documentation states as WIP or not scheduled for completion until later versions, also comes across as deceptive too.
If you are in love with some particular language, just go enjoy what you love. Why be so obsessed and preoccupied with a language that you don't want to use or don't like? Just go use something else and maintain your sanity. The world could use a little more peace and love versus language wars and hate.
