Hello, can anybody help me out with some example code for 1) a letter (A4) 2) scientific paper/article with cross references and bibliography 3) a book with table of contents, Index

To me it is much faster to study via examples than pure syntax rules. In other words usage of /noindent, /tableofcontents, /label /ref, etc. in Latex terminology. Is there a way to get a direct output of pdf instead of using ps2pdf?

archlute, you'll probably get a better response to a request like this (which is not really an Issue as github understands it) by following the "mailing list" link at the bottom of the main project page (https://github.com/n-t-roff/heirloom-doctools) and posting your questions there.
