I can also change the syntax to the IMHO more legible:

a.o b.o ... : y.tab.h

Sometimes you added y.tab.h when it did already exist. Please correct that in your pull request (or start a new one).

I think it is less work for you to not change the syntax (and less work for me to check it). So I would not suggest it. But I would not be against it.
