What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Any dropdown menu is misplaced when an external monitor is connected
2.
3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The dropdown menus are placed way higher than they should be, this is a Qt bug,
see: https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-36672
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TeXMaker 4.3 on a MacBookPro Retina w/ OSX 10.10 (happened on 10.9 too)
Please provide any additional information below.
Could you please fix this in the next binary release for Mac? Upgrading to Qt
5.3.2 and building locally solved the problem for me (but somehow it broke the
TeX compilation configs so I had to switch back to the released binary).
