How to change the size of the line number #1436

The problem is when I enlarge the font of the editor in preference, the line 
number is also enlarged at the same time. But, I think it is better to keep a 
smaller size for line number considering the limit size of the screen.

Does anyone know how to customize it? Thanks

not possible in the current version (line number must have the same height than 
a line in the editor)
