Cannot paste text from other programs #1504

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Copy text from other program, like Google Chrome.
2. Go to Texmaker 
3. Under Edit, the Paste option is grayed out.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect the pasted text to appear in the tex file but nothing appears.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Texmaker 4.4.1 on Windows 8.1

Please provide any additional information below.

I'm running Windows 8.1, and I would like to paste text from my clipboard into 
a tex file in Texmaker, but it does not even give me a paste option. The text 
is definitely available; I can paste it into anything else, like Notepad or 
even TexnicCenter. I know the new version of Windows limits the accessibility 
to the inner workings of the Clipboard, but is there a way I can correct this 
issue?
