Internal viewer doesnt show dots/points on pdf graphic #1505

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Create a .tex file and include a pdf graphic (via \includegraphic) that
contains dots/points (in my case i created a simple scatter plot in R, saved it
as a pdf and included it in a latex document)
2. Compile the .tex file via pdflatex and use the internal viewer to view the
pdf.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect the internal viewer to show the pdf exaclty as it is with the
points/dots shown. But when i view the compiled pdf the points/dots of the
included graphic are not shown.

Strangely, when I look at the compiled pdf using an external pdf viewer (Adobe
Acrobat, SumatraPDF) the points are back as they should.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I use texmaker 4.4.1
