spellcheck meta tag #1516

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

According to the Changelog
http://www.xm1math.net/texmaker/log.html
Texmaker 4.4 and newer supports the % !TEX spellcheck meta tag.
On Windows 7 it seems that this (per document) tag is not used, instead the
spellchecking language from the Options->Configure->Editor is always used.
Am I doing anything wrong here?

% !TEX program = pdfLaTeX
% !TeX spellcheck = en_US
%
\section{Python Framework}

The framework covers three tasks: Process control,Information Pre-Processing

If I set the language at Options->Configure->Editor to en_US everything is fine,
if I set the language at Options->Configure->Editor to de_DE then every single
word is underlined in red.
This makes me believe that the spellcheck meta tag is ignored.

???? the % !TEX spellcheck meta tag is only used at the opening (and if the
corresponding dictionary is present ) - if you change the settings in Texmaker,
of course the editor will follow this setting.

Thanks, so that was easy, I just had to close & re-open the editor.
What happened: When changing the setting under Options->Configure->Editor to
de_DE then that will be used even though the meta tag is set to en_US.
When closing and re-opening, the meta tag will be used again.

Also when switching between internal and external pdf viewer the spellcheck is
performed again, using the setting from Options->Configure->Editor (and not
from the meta tag). Again, closing and re-opening Texmaker fixes it.
